Hi Macfan,

It autofills without OpenDNS? If so, you're ISP probably provides that service with their DNS nameserver, which is nice.

I can't think of any downside. One side-effect (but I think an improvement) is when you type a bad url (i.e. www.goog1le.com) the OpenDNS servers will take you to their "Bad URL" page which offers a search for the web site you typed it. Many ISPs offer their own "Bad URL" pages, but I like the OpenDNS one - although I don't use it much.

I am able to type in "google," "yahoo," or even "corewerkz," in Safari and the autofill function does the rest (even after clearing the cache history).

Do you know of any potential downside with going exclusively with OpenDNS?

I forgot to mention another great bonus feature if you register with OpenDNS and are running 10.5 Leopard:

With Leopard for some reason, many people (if not all people) are unable to simply type "google" in Safari and have it autofill "www.google.com." With OpenDNS, you can set it up to automatically add "www." and ".com" PLUS it will find out if it's ".com" or ".org" ect and direct you to the correct page.
