Guy Kawasaki’s Guide to Better iPhone Battery Life

August 26th, 2008 Brian Cometa 1 comment

Learn some tips to increase battery life on your iPhone at http://blog.guykawasaki.com/2008/08/the-art-of-ipho.html. Nothing super secretive here, but great knowledge for new iPhone users.

The only thing I’d add to his guide is using BossPrefs (for jailbroken iPhones) to quickly enable and disable things like Edge, Wifi, and Bluetooth, rather than navigating through the menus. I should also note that “Airplane Mode” can make your iPhone last a few days on a full charge, if you just want to use the iPod.

Mac Rants and Raves Community : Share Your Happy and Sad Mac Experiences!

May 13th, 2008 Brian Cometa No comments

mrandr_bw2.jpgLast night I created a social network web site called Mac Rants and Raves. It’s a “community blog” aka “forum” – that means you get to share your Mac experiences and read/respond to other’s experiences. The idea is that we’ll learn what to avoid by reading people’s rants, and learn what to check out by reading peoples raves. People will also be able to respond to anyone’s post, allowing ranters the opportunity to find a better solution to their problem. Go to http://macrandr.ning.com/ to start ranting and raving.

A Ridiculous All-Mac Music Video; Amazingly Ridiculous

May 11th, 2008 Brian Cometa 1 comment

I’ve always posted original material on corewerkz, but this one is special. This music video (“Again & Again” by The Bird and the Bee) was made entirely on a Mac, but probably not the way you think. You gotta check this out (thanks CrunchGear):
